The maps shown below are cool, but there are many ways in which they present a distorted view of reality. For instance: yes, I've been to the Russian Federation, but no, I've never been to Siberia. Nonetheless, having set foot in one place (Moscow), I am given undeserved credit for having traveled far and wide in that vast and varied place. Here's a site that takes a further step (actually, several of them) in the direction of accurate visual depiction of empirical reality. It is both impressive and fascinating
