WTF: Where's the Fibre (broadly interpreted)?
 
Just got back from a fantastic event, David Isenberg's WTF conference. A completely outstanding experience, the description of which I'll bookmark for more coherent disquisition tomorrow (or a hamburger, gladly paid for on Tuesday).

A closing comment is that I no longer consider human financial behavior to be the only "Bermuda Triangle" on the planet. It would appear that the Briarcliff-Pleasantville-Sleepy Hollow (NY) "triangle" exerts an equally intense force on the unsuspecting and hapless traveller. At times I shouted (quietly: I am a well-bred young lady after all) GET ME OUTTA HERE!! MAKE IT END!!! and a few other heartfelt exhortations to the deities, as I wound through unmarked streets in hopes of arriving at home within the decade. (which I did, although not in full command of my faculties)
